Conquista, Minas Gerais

As of 2020[update], 6,969 inhabitants are estimated to live within the 616 square kilometres (238 sq mi) of Conquista.

Neighboring municipalities are: Uberaba (to the northwest and west), Sacramento (to the north east), Refaina (to the south) and Igarapava (to the southeast).

[3] The population was once much greater but decreased with the collapse of the coffee market in the early twentieth century and the later exodus of workers to build the new capital of Brasília in the 1960s.

The highest ranking municipality in Minas Gerais in 2000 was Poços de Caldas with 0.841, while the lowest was Setubinha with 0.568.

In more recent statistics (considering 5,507 municipalities) Manari in the state of Pernambuco has the lowest rating in the country—0,467—putting it in last place.
