Convince

[1] According to research by J. W. Pullis the religion originated in the Portland Parish in Jamaica in the mid or late 1800s.

[3] Convince belief rests on the idea that humans and spirits are part of one universe where they interact and influence each other's behavior.

The only structure of the religion is the collection of "bongo men" that form ceremonies when all agree to converge.

Bongo men act as mediums who commune with ancestral spirits.

[5] Its ceremonies usually involve the guidance of bongo-men to become possessed by the spirits of the dead.
