As of the census[4] of 2010, there were 2,284 people, 883 households, and 673 families residing in the township.

19.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Daleville is home to Covington Township's primary business district, and includes several restaurants, a shopping plaza with a supermarket, and a variety of other stores.

Among the allegations of misconduct against Supervisor Yerke are accusations of knowingly allowing the illegal discharge of raw sewage,[7] illegally dumping hazardous waste on his property[8] and other environmental law violations,[9] and theft and misuse of Township equipment.
