Thornhurst Township is a small town in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States.

As of the census[5] of 2010, there were 1,085 people, 431 households, and 303 families residing in the township.

There were 431 households, out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% were married couples living together, 10% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.7% were non-families.

22.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
