It is currently located along New York State Route 23 in the hamlet of Craryville.
[3] The New York and Harlem Railroad built their main line through Craryville between 1849 and 1852 leading to Chatham.
It was also intended to be the original northern terminus of the Dutchess and Columbia Railroad.
The station catered to a local community that had a substantial industry during the era of the NY&H, and later when the New York Central Railroad (NYCRR) acquired the railroad.
Craryville provided commercial freight services until 1976, when the tracks north of Wassaic were dismantled.
