The aircraft is supplied as a kit for amateur construction or complete ready-to-fly.
[1] The Lite Star features a strut-braced high-wing, a single-seat, a two-seats-in-side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit that is 39.8 in (101 cm) wide, fixed conventional landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration.
The aircraft's recommended engine power range is 65 to 110 hp (48 to 82 kW) and standard engines used include the 110 hp (82 kW) Chevrolet Corvair automotive conversion four-stroke powerplant.
