Cyril John Evans

Cyril John Evans was a thoracic surgeon who was responsible for establishing the cardiothoracic department at Morriston Hospital, which is a hospital of the Swansea Bay University Health Board.

He was a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.

[1] He worked under Thomas Sellors, and Vernon Thompson in London and George Mason at Shotley Bridge Hospital.

In 1952 he was appointed as a thoracic surgeon to the South Wales Hospital Authority and shortly after that he established the cardiothoracic surgery centre at Morriston Hospital with the help of Dan Danino.
