Daba Mountains evergreen forests

Some of the other significant tree species include the dawn redwood, dove tree, Tetracentron, Cercidiphyllum japonicum, Emmenopterys henryi, and Eucommia ulmoides.

A major protected area of forests is the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve in Hubei.
