Dalton is an unincorporated community in Cass County, Texas, United States.

A post office was established at Dalton in 1875 and remained in operation until 1905, with an interruption from 1887 to 1897.

It reached its zenith in 1884 when it had 200 residents served by six churches and three saw and flour mills.

[2] Dalton is located on Texas State Highway 77, 3.5 mi (5.6 km) northwest of Marietta in northwestern Cass County.
