Much later, in 1990, Marc Singer played the character in The Raven Red Kiss-Off, also known by the alternate title of Dan Turner, Hollywood Detective.

The screenplay was written by John Wooley, and based on the Dan Turner short story "Homicide Highball" by Robert Leslie Bellem, originally published in the February 1950 issue of Hollywood Detective.
