Danville, Georgia

Danville is a town in Twiggs and Wilkinson counties in the U.S. state of Georgia.

The Twiggs County portion of Danville is part of the Macon metropolitan statistical area.

Danville was originally called "Hughes", and under that name had its start about 1891 when the railroad was extended to that point.

[4] The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place in 1905 as the "Town of Danville".

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km2), all land.
