Dashaun Phillips (born January 3, 1991) is an American former professional football cornerback.
He played college football at Tarleton State University, and signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
Phillips was also a member of the New York Jets, Washington Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dallas Renegades.
Phillips graduated in 2008 from Duncanville High School where he played football as a defensive back.
In high school football, Phillips earned several accolades including Most Valuable Player as well as 2008 Defensive Back of the Year in District 8-5A.
[2] After going unselected in the 2014 NFL draft, Phillips signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a college free agent on May 12, 2014.
[6] He was promoted to the active roster on November 27 to replace Chris Culliver, who was placed on the team's injured reserve.
[7] On January 3, 2016, he left the last game of the regular season against the Dallas Cowboys with a severe neck injury.
