David Lebryk

David Allen Lebryk is an American former government official who served as Fiscal Assistant Secretary of the Treasury between 2014 and 2025.

[2] On June 30, 2014, he was appointed Fiscal Assistant Secretary, the Department of the Treasury's most senior career position.

[2][4] In this role, he was responsible for developing policy and overseeing the financial infrastructure of the federal government, including payments, collections, debt financing, cash management, reporting and accounting, delinquent debt collection, and shared services.

[7] Additionally, he is a recipient of the Alexander Hamilton Award, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's highest honor.

[10] He had a dispute with Elon Musk and his surrogates from the Department of Government Efficiency who were seeking to access the Bureau of the Fiscal Service payment systems, leading him to resign on January 31, 2025.
