DeLand Southwest is an unincorporated census-designated place located in Volusia County, Florida, United States.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 1,169 people, 387 households, and 258 families residing in the CDP.

There were 387 households, out of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 33.3% were married couples living together, 30.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.1% were non-families.

26.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
