Debiganj Upazila

Debiganj (Bengali: দেবীগঞ্জ) is an upazila of Panchagarh District in Rangpur, Bangladesh.

[4] According to the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Debiganj Upazila had 52,411 households and a population of 224,709.

Debiganj had a literacy rate (age 7 and over) of 47.69%, compared to the national average of 51.8%, and a sex ratio of 986 females per 1000 males.

[9] Debiganj Thana was formed in 1928 and it was turned into an upazila on 28 March 1983.

[4] The Upazila is divided into ten union parishads: Chengthi Hazradanga, Chilahati, Dandopal, Debiduba, Debiganj, Pamuli, Shaldanga, Sonahar Mollikadaha, Sundardighi, and Tepriganj.
