Richard E. Flanagan (October 31, 1927 – September 27, 1997) was a National Football League (NFL) center who played eight seasons.
[1] He was selected by the Chicago Bears in the 10th round of the 1948 NFL draft.
[2] He played running back in college and his first year with the Bears.
Flanagan was a member of the Detroit Lions team that defeated the Cleveland Browns to win the 1952 NFL Championship.
