Dicliptera squarrosa is a species of flowering plant in the acanthus family, Acanthaceae.
It is a scrambling subshrub native to Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, northern Argentina, Uruguay, and southern, southeastern, and west-central Brazil,[1] including the Cerrado ecoregion of Brazil.
This plant is cited in Flora Brasiliensis by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius.
