Doron was born in Afula, Israel on 15 March 1940 to Zivia and Emanuel Peskin.

[2] She went on to have a career as a film actress, starring in Israeli and French films including The Faithful City,[3] The Glass Cage, Late Marriage, and A Tale of Love and Darkness.

As part of the cast of Coco, she sang on the Hebrew version of the track Remember Me, which won Best Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018.

She was cast in the 2020 Netflix original miniseries Unorthodox, which premiered on 26 March 2020.

Doron married Serbian film producer Ilan Eldad in 1964.
