The aircraft is supplied as a standard or quick-build kit for amateur construction or as a complete ready-to-fly-aircraft.

It features a cantilever low-wing, a two-seats-in-side-by-side configuration enclosed cockpit, fixed tricycle landing gear or optionally conventional landing gear and a single engine in tractor configuration.

[4][5] The Alto TG design was issued a Czech type certificate on 15 July 2008 and produced until 2022.
