Discovery Bridge (Missouri)

Massman Construction built the river substructure and erected the steel girders.

The two trusses were fabricated by Stupp Brothers and erected approximately 500' downstream on falsework and floated into their final position after their transfer to barges.

The land approaches substructure and concrete girders were built by Fred Weber.

A barrier-separated bicycle and pedestrian path along the northeast side of the bridge opened in 2020.

The bicycle lane and shoulders were converted into an extra travel lane in each direction in November 2011 due to the rehabilitation of the westbound Blanchette (I-70) Bridge and the bridge was closed for bicycle and pedestrian use.
