Don D. Fowler

Don D. Fowler is an anthropologist and archaeologist in the southwestern United States.

[1] As a student, Fowler worked on the Glen Canyon Project, surveying the canyon for archaeological data before the Glen Canyon Dam was finished being built.

From 1985 to 1987 Fowler was the president of the Society for American Archaeology and from 1988 to 1991 he held a Foundation Professorship from the University of Nevada, Reno.

[1] He is now the Mamie Kleberg Professor of Historic Preservation and Anthropology, Emeritus at the University of Nevada, Reno.

[3] and sits on the advisory board of The Center for Desert Archaeology.
