Dorben Polytechnic was established to provide high quality academic studies for individuals Who intend to develop careers as profession.

[5] Before being accredited as a polytechnic in 2007, the school had to acquire 50 hectares of land and have a minimum of one hundred million naira bank guarantee and mount core engineering programs.
