Dortmund-Kley station is in the district of Kley of the city of Dortmund in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

[1] The station is served by line S 1 of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn (Dortmund–Solingen) on week days every 15 minutes during the day between Dortmund and Essen.

[6] In addition, the station is served by buses on line 470, operated by DSW21 at twenty-minute intervals.
