Eastern City Gate

The complex, which is officially named Rudo, was finished in 1976 and is considered one of the symbols of the city,[1] and of the Yugoslav Socialism in general.

[3] The Eastern Gate is located in the neighborhood of Konjarnik, north of the European route E75, in the municipality of Zvezdara.

[1][9] In 2010, the tenants began collecting funds for the further repairs and in 2012 they started an initiative to fix the problems with the facades.

Experts from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Civil Engineering described the facade as being in "extremely bad shape".

They also had talks with the state government, but they refused to allow the construction of the plain facade as the energy efficient one is obligatory by the new laws.
