There were 1,586 housing units at an average density of 48.7 per square mile (18.8/km2).
The racial makeup of the township was 96.31% White, 0.23% African American, 0.37% Native American, 0.89% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 1.03% from other races, and 1.10% from two or more races.
There were 1,531 households, out of which 38.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.4% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% were non-families.
15.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
