Ebrington (known locally as Yabberton[3] or Yubberton[4]) is a village and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England, about 2 miles (3.2 km) from Chipping Campden.
[5] The village is 26 NNE of Cirencester (Roman Corinium, Britain's second largest town after London).
[7] Ebrington is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as a settlement of 33 households situated within hundred of Witley and the county of Gloucestershire.
The ancient church of St Eadburga shows many monuments to the family including one to Sir John Fortescue in his robes as Lord Chief Justice.
[13] Ebrington Primary celebrated its 175 birthday in 2016 with a 'living history' day for the children and the official opening of new playground equipment.
