Echinocereus gurneyi

Echinocereus gurneyi is a species of cactus native to Texas.

[1] Echinocereus gurneyi forms small clumps consisting of 10 or more stems.

The broad, funnel-shaped, dioecious, orange-red to salmon flowers appear below the shoot tip.

[2] This species is found growing rocky hillsides and limestone rock in pine oak and juniper woodlands of New Mexico and Texas in the United States and Chihuahua, Mexico at elevations between 1200 and 1500 meters.

Plants are found growing along Dasylirion leiophyllum, Pelecyphora sneedii subsp.
