Ediacara, South Australia

Ediacara /iːdiˈækərə/ is a locality in the state of South Australia, located about 500 kilometres (310 miles) north of the state capital of Adelaide and about 30 kilometres (19 miles) to the south west of the town of Leigh Creek.

An area became known as the Ediacara Mines after more costeans were dug.

[6] As of 2012, the area was still able to be accessed for "licensed mineral exploration or mining activities".
