Edith Barnard Delano

Edith Barnard Delano (December 14, 1874 – September 7, 1946) was an American short story writer, screenwriter, playwright, and novelist.

Delano wrote novels and stories for a number of publications, such as Good Housekeeping.

Railroad, he originated the traveling library idea, and introduced into this country the first system of employee relief.

Her grandfather, Theodore Barnard, one of the founders of the Associated Press, was the only one of her grandparents of New England origin; the others were from Maryland and Virginia.

[1] Delano was educated mostly by governesses, and at Bryn Mawr Preparatory School[2] in Baltimore, where a large part of her girlhood was passed.
