Elena Boldyreva

Boldyreva is a leading researcher at the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis in the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, and is Professor and Head of the Section of Solid State Chemistry at Novosibirsk State University.

[2] She studied at the Novosibirsk State University, and earned her bachelor's degree in 1982 and PhD in physical chemistry in 1988.

She shifted into high pressure research, working with infrared spectroscopy at the Phillips University in Marburg.

[2] She uses high pressure measurements to investigate and control the inter- and intra-molecular interactions in crystals.

[2] Alongside experimental science, Boldyreva works on Monte Carlo simulations for solid-state reactions.
