Elk Mountain is a town in Carbon County, Wyoming, United States.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.28 square miles (0.73 km2), which consists entirely of land.

23.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
28.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
None of the families and 4.3% of the population were living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 14.3% of those over 64.
Public education in the town of Elk Mountain is provided by Carbon County School District #2.
