European Law Students' Association

ELSA-activities comprise a large variety of academic and professional events that are organised to fulfill the stated vision of ELSA.

Its members are elected at an International Council Meeting (ICM) (which consists of all the National Groups) for a one-year period.

These interactions strengthen ELSA’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic studies and professional legal practice.

Representing an observer NGO delegation, ELSA actively participated in this historic event, which laid the foundation for the establishment of the ICC—a vital institution in the promotion of international criminal justice and the rule of law.

[citation needed] In October 2005, ELSA obtained Observer Status with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization).

ELSA has members and observers in Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.
