Euryale spinosa is a fossil species of Euryale from the Miocene[2] of Ardnamurchan, Scotland, United Kingdom.
[1][2] The circular to elliptical pollen grains with a spiny exine are 30 μm wide.
The sharp, stout spines are 2 μm long.
[3] It was published by John Baird Simpson in 1961[3][1][2] based on fossil pollen grains.
[3] The specific epithet spinosa means spiny.
