Federico Amoroso

Federico Amoroso (Naples, 29 May 1891 – Rome, 2 April 1968) was an Italian general during World War II.

From 25 July 1943 to 11 February 1944 he served as Minister of Communications of the Badoglio I Cabinet, the first after the fall of the Fascist regime.

After the Kingdom of Italy entered the First World War on 24 May 1915 he fought on the Italian Front, and in January 1917 he was transferred to the airship service at his request.

[1][2] He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on 16 January 1927, after which he taught at the Radio Telegraph Institute until 16 March 1934, when he was assigned to the 8th Engineer Regiment.

[3] From 10 September 1941 he command the engineers of the XII Army Corps, stationed in Palermo, and on 1 January 1942 he was promoted to major general.
