In 2010, Coppitelli was appointed as a youth manager of Italian side Frosinone.
In 2011, he was appointed as a youth manager of Italian Serie A side Roma.
In 2015, he returned to Italian side Frosinone as a youth manager.
[3] On 1 July 2024, Osijek announced Coppitelli as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
Coppitelli's first official game took place in the Conference League Second Round 1st leg on the 25th of July 2024, against Levadia at the Opus Arena winning 5-1.
