Ferdinando Nelli Feroci (born 18 December 1946) is an Italian diplomat who served briefly as a European Commissioner in 2014.
[1] He graduated from the University of Pisa with a degree in law in 1970, and in 1972 entered the Italian diplomatic service.
[1] In June 2014 Nelli Feroci was appointed as Italy's European Commissioner, replacing Antonio Tajani as Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship in the second Barroso Commission.
He later became a professor at the School of Government of the Free International University of Social Studies "Guido Carli" (LUISS) in Rome,[3] and President of the Istituto Affari Internazionali.
