Fischerella is a genus of cyanobacteria belonging to the family Hapalosiphonaceae.

[2] The genus name of Deightoniella is in honour of Christian Fischer (1801 - 1892), who was a Bohemian scientist and industrialist from Karlsbad (Baden).
