Franklin D. Sherwood (December 25, 1841 in Wheeler, Steuben County, New York – September 14, 1907 in Hornell, Steuben Co., NY) was an American politician from New York.
He attended the common schools, Lima Academy, and Alfred University.
In 1870, he removed to Hornellsville, and engaged in mercantile and manufacturing pursuits.
Sherwood was at the time of election a member of the Board of Park Commissioners of the City of Hornellsville, and was ultimately declared ineligible by the New York Court of Appeals under Section 3, Article VIII, of the State Constitution.
He died on September 14, 1907, in Hornell, New York, and was buried at the Hope Cemetery there.
