Fred Evans (defensive tackle)

At Texas State in 2004, Evans was moved back to the defensive line during the first week of spring practices.

He had 26 solo stops and 14 assists in his first season for the Bobcats and led the team with 6.5 quarterback sacks for 35 lost yards.

Evans was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round (212th overall) of the 2006 NFL draft and signed a four-year contract on July 26, 2006.
