[citation needed] Gadarmala is a thikana (titled estate or jagir) held by the descendants of Puranmal, the eleventh son of Maharana Pratap Singh I (1572–1597), with the title of Baba.
The ancestral seat, Mangrop (Magrop), bestowed upon Puranmal, has been the root of their lineage.
[2] Progressing two generations down the family line, Puranmal's grandson, Mohkam Singh, was granted the village of Gurla as a jagir by his father, Nath Singh of Mangrop.
