Gamcheon-dong is a subdivision of Saha District in central-west Busan, South Korea.
It is known for Gamcheon Culture Village, which features steep streets, twisting alleys, and brightly painted houses.
[1] Some painted street murals, art installations, cafes, stores, museums, workshops, and craft boutiques have also sprung up in the area.
[2] The area was previously known as Taegeukdo Village,[1] and was affected by poverty, so in 2009 the government of Korea funded the "Dreaming of Machu Picchu in Busan Project".
