Garita Kilómetro 26

Garita Kilómetro 26 (Spanish for Kilometer 26 checkpoint) was a federal inspection checkpoint operated by the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit through its Mexican Customs Bureau.

The name derives from its location, which is exactly 26 kilometers south of the Mexico–United States border, from Gateway to the Americas International Bridge following the main road until it becomes Federal Highway 85.

It represents one of the many checkpoints or garitas located along the major transportation corridors in border regions.

More than 4000 trucks pass through the inspection station each day.
