[3] The club was founded at the amateur level as Sankospor under Sanko Holding A.Ş., an industrial group of companies headquartered in Gaziantep, in 1988.

[7] The club won the Group C title of the 2004–05 season of the TFF Second League,[4] winning 22 games out of 34 with 73 points, scoring 90 goals.
