The racial makeup of the township was 93.11% White, 0.50% African American, 0.19% Native American, 0.66% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.78% from other races, and 4.72% from two or more races.

31.60% of all households were made up of individuals, and 21.60% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
