Gennady Nikandrovich Volkov (31 October 1927 – 27 December 2010) was a Chuvash educator, writer and publicist.

He was a professor, doctor of pedagogical sciences, and was an academic of the Russian Academy of Education.

[1] Volkov was born in the Big Yalchik village of the Yalchiksky District in the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

He started the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology as a senior fellow and vice-rector for scientific work at the Chuvash State Pedagogical Institute.

A monument to him was raised at 35 Lenin Prospect, Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic.
