As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 965 people, 224 households, and 196 families residing in the town.

There were 242 housing units at an average density of 19.0 per square mile (7.3/km2).

11.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 44.4% under 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 21.6% from 25 to 44, 16.9% from 45 to 64, and 8.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
