Georg R. Faehlmann (17 September 1895 - 8 March 1975) was an Imperial Russian Navy officer, Master Mariner and yachtsman.
The family returned to Europe in 1900 and eventually settled in Reval, Estonia, his father’s home town, in 1905.
He was master of the s/s ”Linda” on time charter from Blyth to Gothenburg with the load of coal when she was sunk by a German submarine on 11 February 1940, 100 miles South of Utsira (Norway).
Master (his right foot seriously injured) and crew (except one) were saved by the Swedish ship ”Birgitta” and landed at Kopervik (Norway).
