George H. Witter

George H. Witter (August 23, 1854 – February 12, 1913) was an American physician and politician from New York.

[1] Witter spent two years in West Point, after which he attended the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore, Maryland.

After he graduated from the college as a physician in 1885, he began to practice medicine in Wellsville.

[2] In Wellsville, Witter formed a partnership with Dr. H. H. Nye, his former medical teacher.

[3] In 1908, he was elected to the New York State Senate as a Republican, representing the 44th District.
