Georgina Kleege (born 1956)[1] is an American writer and a professor of English at University of California, Berkeley.
[7] Kleege's book Sight Unseen (Yale University Press, 1999), which blends memoir and criticism, was well received.
"[10] Her book Blind Rage: An Open Letter to Helen Keller was published by Gallaudet University Press in 2006.
[13] Kleege also works to expand existing practices in art history and museum education for the blind and people with low vision.
[15] She also developed a tour and video series called Haptic Encounters in which she touches and describes artworks included in the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, highlighting "qualities such as texture, temperature, weight, resilience, and density that may not be apparent to the eyes alone.
