He was married to Elena Arturovna, née Luix, daughter of a Belgian citizen.
Viranovsky graduated in 1885 from the Vladimir Kiev Cadet Corps, in 1887 - the 3rd Military Alexander School in the 1st category, in 1897 - the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in the 1st category.
[citation needed] After the February Revolution, on April 2 (15), 1917, he was appointed commander of the 2nd Guards Corps of the 11th Army.
January 1920, he was captured by units of the 5th Army (RSFSR) in Krasnoyarsk.
It was placed at the disposal of the chief of the General Headquarters, the lists of which are mentioned between May 15 and August 7, 1920.
